Ridgecrest Auto Services

  • Complete Computer Diagnostics
Our technicians are qualified professionals, and attend regular training to keep up with current vehicle computer diagnostics. Years ago, cars were much simpler and did not require numerous onboard sensors, computers and computer diagnostics. Automobile technology continues to advance and vehicles rely more and more on computers. In this day and age, an automobile technician must be trained in more than just the basics of vehicle repair. Rather, a qualified technician must understand computer diagnostics to properly and adequately service and maintain a vehicle. We pride ourselves in being the best in town.
  • Complete Safety Analysis
Vehicle safety is paramount. If you have any questions regarding the safety of any part of your vehicle you should have it inspected right away. Here at Paul & Sons safety is our #1 concern.
  • Drivability Problems
Drivability refers to the smoothness of acceleration of your vehicle. Your vehicle should smoothly and safely accelerate from a stop to driving speeds. A drivability issue refers to an abnormality in this portion of driving; for example, hard shifting or rough acceleration. Our technicians are highly skilled and trained in drivability analysis and repairs.
  • Tune-ups
Although the term "tune up" is still commonly used, they really are not performed on modern day vehicles. Instead, vehicles are due for such maintenance as ignition repairs and fuel system cleaning. Performing regular interval maintenance such as this will keep your vehicle running efficiently and at the proper gas mileage rating.
  • Oil Changes
Your vehicles engine oil should be changed every three thousand miles, or every three months, whichever occurs first. At every other oil change, you should rotate your tires. We perform a FREE 30 point inspection during every oil change and vehicle service. The 30 point inspection will provide you with information regarding maintenance needs on the major systems of your car (cooling system, power steering system, battery, engine oil, brake fluid system and brake pads/rotors, etc.) so you can make informed decisions about your vehicle.
  • Tires
Your vehicle is only as safe as the tires it rides on. We visually inspect your tires at every oil change service to help you catch deficiencies, and monitor your tire wear patterns. By rotating your tires during every other oil change you will extend the time your tires remain useful and safe. Tires should always be replaced according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Brake Repair Specialists
Your brakes are probably the most important system affecting safety. The brake pad wear and brake rotor condition should be inspected during every oil change. If you notice something abnormal about your brakes (sounds, vibrations, etc.) have them inspected as soon as possible. Like any system on your vehicle, the more information you have the better decisions you can make; and better decisions mean staying safe and saving money.
  • Mufflers and Exhaust Systems
Your vehicle is required, by state and federal law, to meet certain exhaust gas emission standards. Our technicians are state certified to inspect, test and repair your exhaust and emissions systems.

After the air fuel mixture combusts in the cylinders of the engine it exits through the exhaust ports and manifold. The exhaust gas is then carried through a series of pipes, converter(s) and muffler(s). All of this equipment must be in working order to meet emission standards.
  • Steering and Suspension
The steering and suspension systems of a car are not only important for safety reasons but also to enhance the comfort of your car's ride. The two systems are directly related to each other, which is why they are often referred to together. Steering and suspension components should be visually inspected during every oil change, and thoroughly inspected when any abnormalities are noticed. Shocks, struts, steering gear box and connecting rods are all components that need inspection.
  • Alignments
Your cars alignment determines how the tires meet the road, so its very important. Proper alignment reduces tire wear, increases vehicle stability and controllability and most importantly, keeps the vehicle tracking safely down the road.
